Last night, the Dancing for the Space Coast charity event, put on by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, made a triumphant return to the dance floor, holding the annual fundraiser at the old Stein Mart location in Melbourne. Ten local celebrity contestants participated in the event, along with several ballroom studios and sponsors, together raising over $300,000!
After a night of show-stopping dances, it was Dancin’ Dance that once again claimed the 1st and 2nd place trophies! Heidi and partner Marcus Ingeldsen, a construction director and humanitarian, were the top couple, performing an appropriately gold-themed cha cha, complete with confetti cannons! Primo and partner Jeannette Jarnes, a model and businesswoman, took 2nd place, with a sizzling rhythm fusion dance.
Heidi and Primo each also participated with a second celebrity partner–Heidi brought country to the ballroom with Irving Frier, a port supervisor, and Primo created a groovy swing dance with Susan Belcher, a fitness dancer and mental health activist.

We send a big thank you to everyone in our Dancin’ Dance community who came out to support our couples, as well as the contributors, sponsors, and coordinators who made this event possible.
